Equotee
Equotee is a New Zealand-based startup streamlining property co-ownership management for a home shared with family, friends, or partners.
I met Anna, the founder of Equotee, through the Climatebase Fellowship as newly acquainted members of Cohort 5. I joined her bootstrapped team of developers and product managers to reflect Equotee’s new features in development and readiness to encourage more early user adoption.

After browsing a few competitors in the home co-ownership space in New Zealand and Australia, we found ourselves talking about social inequity in the homeownership pipeline and leadership in the real estate+banking tech industry.
Due to the different timezones and schedules, I had to unfortunately pull back from the startup. If I had the capacity to continue working with the team, I would’ve collaborated with local members like Anna to solidify the brand’s strategy while learning from user research how this emerging technology is understood and adopted for different socio-economic contexts.
